Natural family photography in Quito, focused on connection, not perfection. A family session isn’t really a photoshoot — it’s time together. A walk outdoors, an afternoon at home, kids playing, parents simply being present. I document it quietly, with gentle guidance when needed, but always keeping things honest and relaxed. I often recommend outdoor sessions because nature creates space, movement, and beautiful light. Kids relax faster, parents breathe easier, and the photos end up feeling effortless. Still, city locations around Quito or your own home can be just as meaningful. The goal is simple:clean, emotional images that age well — photos that still feel true years from now.

A Few Things You Might Be Wondering
Wear whatever makes you feel like yourself. Comfortable clothes, neutral tones and soft textures usually photograph beautifully.
If the session is somewhere cold (for example higher altitude areas), think layers: jackets, scarves, hats and warm clothes that look nice but keep you comfortable. Kids with comfy sneakers and an extra change of clothes always help. Remember — comfort and being present matter most.
I always send a list of recommended locations: options close to Quito, places a bit farther out with open nature, and also ideas for at-home sessions.
Timing really depends on the location, the light, and the weather. Outdoors, the most beautiful light usually happens 1–2 hours before sunset or early in the morning. In mountain areas we also consider rain, wind, and access hours — some places close before dark, so that can shape our schedule.
For home sessions, late afternoon light tends to be especially warm and flattering. I’ll always send recommendations and together we’ll choose the time that feels best for your family and the experience you want.
Of course — I love when dogs join sessions. They bring life and authenticity to the photos.
That said, some locations (like certain national parks) don’t allow pets, so it’s not always possible. I’ll let you know which of my recommended spots are pet-friendly so there are no surprises. If they come along, bring a leash, some water and maybe a towel just in case.
Only gently when needed. I’ll suggest simple things (walking, hugging, interacting, playing) and then step back so moments happen naturally. Nothing stiff or forced — the goal is real interaction.
If weather doesn’t cooperate, we reschedule. In mountain or unpredictable locations, I always plan alternatives and keep you informed. A calm session is always better than a stressful one.
Yes — I adjust color, light, and remove small distractions when needed. I don’t change bodies or create unrealistic edits. The goal is you, just in a cleaner, timeless way.
Just the basics: water, a small snack for the kids, tissues, and maybe an extra outfit if they’re little. Comfortable shoes always help outdoors, and if we’re heading somewhere cold, think layers. You’re welcome to bring a few meaningful things too — a blanket, favorite toy, bike, ball or book — but keep it simple. The lighter you travel, the more natural everything tends to feel.
